[LAS VEGAS, NV] – The Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) will convene Nevada energy, business, government, and policy leaders on November 12 for a roundtable discussion on data center growth and Nevada’s energy future.
The gathering is part of SWEEP at 25: Nevada’s Energy Future, a series celebrating SWEEP’s 25 years of advancing practical energy solutions across the Southwest while bringing stakeholders together to address Nevada’s emerging energy challenges.
As Nevada considers the infrastructure needed to support large energy users, the discussion will explore how the state can accommodate economic growth while maintaining electric grid reliability, protecting existing utility customers, and making effective use of energy efficiency, storage, demand flexibility, and other grid resources.
This invite-only gathering will feature a facilitated stakeholder discussion and opportunities for participants to exchange perspectives on the policy and technical questions facing Nevada.
“SWEEP’s 25th anniversary is an opportunity to recognize how far we’ve come and build the partnerships needed for the next generation of energy challenges,” said Caitlin Gatchalian, SWEEP’s Nevada Representative. “Nevada has an opportunity to pursue economic development while ensuring that energy planning remains focused on affordability, reliability, and practical solutions.”
The event will take place on November 12, 2026, at Coya in Las Vegas. Additional details and registration information are available at sweepnevada25.
The roundtable is part of SWEEP’s broader anniversary series, which will continue in December with a discussion of Nevada’s evolving energy system and in January with a legislative kickoff focused on energy policy priorities for the 2027 session.
