Join the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) as we continue celebrating our 25th anniversary during the welcome reception for our 23rd Annual Southwest Utility Energy Efficiency Workshop in Santa Fe.

For more than two decades, the Workshop has brought together utility leaders, regulators, policymakers, businesses, nonprofits, and energy experts from across the Southwest to exchange ideas, share innovations, and advance practical solutions. This year, the annual gathering will be even more meaningful as we celebrate 25 years of SWEEP’s impact throughout New Mexico and the Southwest.

Since our founding in 2001, SWEEP has partnered with utilities, policymakers, businesses, Tribal Nations, local governments, and communities to advance practical energy solutions that lower energy costs, reduce pollution, strengthen the electric grid, and improve quality of life. In New Mexico, that work has included advancing stronger building energy codes, supporting beneficial electrification, expanding energy efficiency opportunities, promoting transportation electrification, improving housing affordability, and helping shape policies that benefit communities across the state.

The evening will feature networking, refreshments, and an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues while celebrating a quarter century of collaboration, partnership, and progress. We’ll also share highlights from SWEEP’s 25th anniversary video, recognizing the people, partnerships, and accomplishments that have defined our work over the past 25 years.

As New Mexico continues to experience rapid growth, increasing energy demand, housing challenges, and a changing climate, SWEEP remains committed to advancing practical, equitable, and cost-effective solutions that strengthen communities while protecting the Southwest’s natural resources.
