SWEEP promotes the expansion and improvement of utility energy efficiency programs, sustainable building codes and regulations, and the advancement of clean transportation in the Southwest. We work on policy to establish energy equity for vulnerable communities, cost savings for homeowners and commuters, and advocacy for tackling the climate crisis.

Please join us Wednesday, July 8, to learn about the history, ongoing environmental justice issues, and regulatory failure of the Suncor Refinery in Commerce City, Colorado. Presenters will review the recent Refinery Report published by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, provide tools for action in the current GEMM 2 rulemaking, and discuss future organizing and regulatory opportunities. There will be dedicated time for questions.
