SWEEP worked with two graduate students at the University of Colorado-Boulder on a clean trucking report. Reducing pollution from medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (MHDVs) is critical to achieving Colorado’s climate, environmental justice, equity, and public health goals, but these vehicles face unique electrification challenges. This report details existing electric MHDV initiatives across the U.S. and proposes policy and program recommendations to accelerate MHDV electrification, charging infrastructure deployment, and associated emissions reductions in Colorado.
