Nominate Your Business for Colorado Industrial Energy Efficiency Awards
For immediate release
(BOULDER, CO) March 8, 2017 -- Did your Colorado industrial facility achieve significant energy efficiency improvements during 2015 or 2016? Then we invite you to apply for recognition through this year’s Colorado Industrial Energy Efficiency Awards.
For the past six years, the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) has joined with the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) to recognize outstanding achievements in industrial energy efficiency. Many winning businesses participated through the state office’s Colorado Industrial Energy Challenge (CIEC) program. This year, though, CEO and SWEEP would like to offer this recognition to any Colorado industrial facility willing to provide the requested information, in addition to current CIEC participants. The awards event will take place in early May 2017 in the Denver-Boulder area. (Details forthcoming.)
To apply for recognition, simply provide:
A list of energy efficiency projects your industrial facility completed during 2015-2016;
Data on energy savings achieved;
A description of energy management practices at your facility.
Applications are due by March 31, 2017.
To obtain the application form or to ask any questions, please contact Neil Kolwey, Senior Associate at the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP), 303-499-0213, email@example.com.
We define industrial to include manufacturing, mining, oil and gas production, and water and wastewater treatment facilities. In addition, we include ski resorts, data centers, and indoor agricultural facilities. To be eligible, facilities must spend at least $200,000 per year on energy (electricity and fuels).
The CIEC program was established in 2010 through funding from the U.S. Department of Energy and CEO. The program challenges Colorado industrial facilities to set a five-year energy goal, and offers quarterly networking and training events and annual recognition for outstanding achievements. You can learn more about the program and how to participate here.
