SUMMARY:ACEEE National Conference on Energy Efficiency as a Resource
DESCRIPTION:VIEW SWEEP’S PRESENTATION\nThe 2023 Energy Efficiency as Resource (EER) conference in Philadelphia was a big success! Attendees explored how efficiency efforts have expanded and evolved amid a transforming utility industry. After the 2021 online event\, EER was back in person in October 2023 for the first time and brought together a diverse group of nearly 450 attendees—an EER record!—including the nation’s leading players in the utility energy efficiency arena\, including attendees from utilities and program administrators\, regulatory commissions\, state government\, consultants\, manufacturers\, environmental organizations\, consumer groups\, and research institutions. \nEER was again the premier U.S. conference on policies and programs focused on reducing utility customers’ energy waste and helping utilities meet climate goals and infrastructure challenges. Together\, we strategized using innovative technologies and policies to enable efficiency programs that delivered more significant greenhouse gas reductions\, improved bill affordability and health for low-income customers and embraced more electrified and grid-interactive equipment in our homes and buildings.

SUMMARY:BEL-CO Colorado Electrification Infrastructure Summit
DESCRIPTION:  \nVIEW THE WEBINAR \nAll the major utilities in Colorado are now offering substantial rebates for heat pumps and heat pump water heaters (HPWHs)\, and state and federal tax credits are also available. In addition\, new low-cost financing options are becoming readily available\, making energy efficiency and electrification improvements even more attractive. \nMany HVAC contractors and plumbers have attended training sessions on proper installation and maintenance of heat pumps and HPWHs. Not surprisingly\, we are seeing many new installations of electric space and water heating in new and existing homes\, and we expect this to grow in the next 5-10 years. What will be the impact of all this on our electrical grid? Are utilities properly planning for the additional generation and distribution resources that will be needed at some point? \nJoin us for this free 60-minute webinar for a discussion of the key points on the potential grid impacts of building electrification in Colorado\, based on our utilities’ own recent studies and other research\, as well as best practices to minimize those impacts. We will also provide important updates on a new on-bill repayment program being offered by a growing number of utilities through the Colorado Clean Energy Fund.

SUMMARY:Southwest Utility Energy Efficiency Workshop 2025
DESCRIPTION:  \nSWEEP’s 2025 Southwest Utility Energy Efficiency Workshop will provide attendees with opportunities to hear about the latest demand side management program developments from the region’s utilities\, discuss emerging energy efficiency technologies and program designs\, electric vehicles (EVs) and clean transportation\, and a lot more. There will be plenty of opportunities to network with regional utility\, regulatory\, state\, nonprofit\, and EV representatives. This event is free and by invitation-only. \nSWEEP values these opportunities to share information between like-minded organizations as utility energy efficiency efforts in the region expand and as new challenges and opportunities arise. Every year\, we bring together utilities\, state policymakers\, energy efficiency program providers\, and other stakeholders from the region with the shared goal of advising utilities on how to stay on the cutting edge of energy efficiency program and policy developments. \nBecome a SWEEP Ally to attend the 2025 Workshop.

SUMMARY:SWEEP 25th Anniversary Celebration
DESCRIPTION: explore sponsorship opportunities\n register for the event \nPlease join us as we celebrate 25 years of the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) on Thursday\, June 4 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. \nThis special evening will bring together friends\, partners\, and supporters for cocktails\, hors d’oeuvres\, music\, and networking as we celebrate a quarter century of advancing energy efficiency\, electrification\, and clean transportation across the Southwest. \nSince our founding in 2001\, SWEEP has worked with utilities\, policymakers\, businesses\, and communities across Arizona\, Colorado\, Nevada\, New Mexico\, Utah\, and Wyoming to develop practical solutions that save energy\, lower costs\, and reduce emissions. \nIn these challenging and uncertain times\, that work has never been more important. Over the past year alone\, SWEEP has continued to make meaningful progress at the state and local level — helping advance energy affordability\, strengthen utility accountability\, and ensure that clean energy solutions remain within reach for communities throughout the region. As demand for electricity rises and extreme weather becomes more intense and catastrophic\, these solutions are more important than ever. \nOur 25th anniversary celebration will be a chance to mingle with the SWEEP Board and staff team\, reflect on the progress we’ve made together\, and look ahead to the next chapter of our work. \nTickets are $25\, which serves both as entry to the event and a small donation supporting SWEEP’s mission. For those able to  support SWEEP’s 25th celebration at a higher level\, sponsorship opportunities are available\, and contributions can be made when registering.
