Energy Efficiency Program Design and Implementation in the Southwest
Second Annual Workshop
On November 3 and 4, 2005, regional and national energy efficiency
professionals gathered in Phoenix to discuss the options and opportunities for
program collaboration across the Southwest. SWEEP’s second annual Energy
Efficiency Program Design and Implementation in the Southwest workshop,
sponsored by Salt River Project and held at SRP’s PERA Club, worked from the
premise that, with regional utility demand-side management program spending
increasing from $21 million in 2001 to a projected $113 million in 2006, the
time is ripe for utility representatives and others to share information and
look for areas where collaboration will enhance the effectiveness of individual
utility and/or state energy efficiency programs.
Below you will find links to workshop materials as well as the presentations
made at the workshop.
In addition, the 2005 workshop included the presentation of SWEEP’s First
Annual Leadership in Energy Efficiency Awards, at an awards luncheon hosted by
Salt River Project. Arizona State Representative Lucy Mason and Nevada State
Senator Randolph Townsend were honored for their successful efforts in
sponsoring and seeing signed into law important energy efficiency legislation in
their respective states. To learn more about their efforts and the awards,
please see November News.
