Utah
Building Energy Codes
Effective January 1, 2007, all new residential and commercial buildings
built in Utah must comply with the minimum provisions of the 2006 International
Energy Conservation Code (IECC). This is the latest "good practice" building
energy code that energy-conscious states are following.
IECC training and resources are provided to builders and local building code
departments through the State Energy Program, Division of Occupation and
Licensing (DOPL), and utility providers Questar Gas and PacifiCorp.
Visit the website of the International Code Council at
www.iccsafe.org for up-to-date
jurisdictional adoption information.
