Beyond Code: A Workshop for Colorado's Mountain Communities

the Governor's Energy Office Workshop Summary
On November 17th and 18th, SWEEP and the Town of Carbondale are co-organizing
a 1 ½ day training workshop focused on developing and implementing advanced
building energy codes and green building programs in Colorado's mountain
communities. The workshop provided an opportunity for training, networking and
discussion about efficient building codes, green building programs and energy
mitigation policies for Colorado's mountain communities. Workshop participants
were able to: 1) learn about successful green building policies and programs
implemented in Carbondale and other mountain communities; 2) share lessons
learned and review best practices; and 3) identify opportunities to work
together to advance their beyond code programs and green building initiatives in
their jurisdiction. The workshop was sponsored by
CORE, the
Governor's Energy
Office, and the Energy
Foundation.
