Jurisdictions in southern Nevada - including Clark County and Henderson, - have adopted the 2012 Southern Nevada Energy Code, which is based on the 2012 IECC with local amendments; this code came into effect on July 1, 2014. The remaining Southern Nevada communities have adopted the 2009 IECC as has the communities in Northern Nevada.. Based on Census data of September 2014 over 45% of all construction in the state occurs in communities who have adopted the 2012 IECC.
